Ukraine anniversary parade to unveil new generation of military hardware

Ukraine will unveil a new generation of military hardware at a parade next week marking 30 years of independence following the Soviet Union’s breakup.

Kyiv will hold one of its biggest-ever military parades on 24 August, and it is promising to show off a host of new home-grown military vehicles.

The headliner of the parade is expected to be the first public demonstration of the newest Neptune coastal missile system with the Mineral-U radar. The RK-360 Neptune is a coastal missile system designed to engage enemy surface fighting ships and auxiliaries vessels both single and belonging to Task Forces.

Museum Armored Vehicles Were Used to Protect Kyiv
It didn't take much effort for Ukraine’s fighters to return the museum exhibits to combat readiness
The National Museum of the History of Ukraine in the Second World War reported on the Facebook page that some of the armored vehicles from its exposition were used by the Armed Forces of Ukraine and other defenders to protect Kyiv from the russian invasion.

And now that these armored vehicles have served to defend the capital from the russian occupiers, they are returned back to the museum as exhibits.

Od Dánska se do východoevropské země dostávají protilodní střely Harpoon, od Spojených států zase získává v těchto dnech samohybné houfnice, uvedl podle agentury Reuters ukrajinský ministr obrany Oleksij Reznikov. Podle Sergije Bratčuka, mluvčího vojenské správy přístavního města Oděsa, nyní Ukrajina disponuje tolika raketami Harpoon, že dokáže poslat ke dnu celou ruskou černomořskou flotilu.

"Rakety Harpoon pobřežní obranu naší země nejen posílí – budou je používat vycvičené ukrajinské týmy. Jsem přesvědčen, že vojenské spojení raket Harpoon a našich Neptunů nám pomůže osvobodit a znovu zabezpečit naše Černé moře a spolehlivě ochránit Oděsu,“ uvedl Reznikov. Při dovozu raket z Dánska měli pomoct „naši britští přátelé“, dodal Reznikov.
